Dreams of Taleem is a young play about theatre, about love, passion, longing, acceptance, and rejection.
Anay, a young and ambitious theatre director is thrilled when Sita, an acclaimed but enigmatic actress agrees to work with him in his new play, No. 1 Madhavbagh. Abandoned by most of his young colleagues, except for his lover Yash, it's a great opportunity for Anay to bolster fledgling career. But when rehearsals begin nothing goes to plan. Anay fears he has lost Yash, and Sita struggles to come to terms with gay relationships. The line between reality and fantasy is blurred, and our characters are forced to examine their beliefs and convictions in the mirror of the play.
Sunil Shanbag is one of Mumbai's foremost theatre directors. His last play staged in Bangalore was the much acclaimed S*X, M*RALITY AND CENS*RSHIP, which found an immediate and overwhelming response from Bangalore audiences.
