The Head Start Children's repertory is an essential part of The HeadStart School, Koramangala. The members of the repertory, are children aged 7 to 13 and after a fairly long process on various aspects of theatre, the children have devised this adaptation of the classic play by Habib Tanvir's Naya Theatre. In our process, some things have changed but more than ever the realization has remainded that what makes this play timeless is its eternal topicality. The children view the play from their world. Set in contemporary times, here in Karnataka, the play is a satire on our understanding of society. At HeadStart the children go through various levels of theatre training. Starting with 3 month long workshops and then finally moving to the repertory, the children are keen on learning and experimenting with the theatre as an art form on a long term basis. The Repertory would like to thank the entire staff and faculty at Head Start School, and the entire theatre department. Most of all, we would like to thank our audience, for being here to give our young thespians an opportunity to share their first steps in to the world of the theatre.
